These Terms & Conditions govern your use of cortensteel.co and any purchase you make from Corten Steel Company (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our"). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Use of the website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. By accessing the site you agree that you will not:

• Use the site in any way that breaches applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or interfere with the site's operation or security.
• Copy, reproduce or redistribute our content (text, images, branding and design) without our written permission.
• Submit false information or impersonate any person or entity.

All content on this website, including the Corten Steel Company name, logo, product imagery and copy, is our property or that of our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Products and descriptions

We take care to describe our products accurately, including materials and dimensions. Product photos are for illustration. Corten steel weathers as it is meant to, so the colour and finish of the patina vary between batches and will not look identical on any two installations.

Pricing

All prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD). No tax is added at checkout: the price you see, plus delivery where it applies, is the price you pay. We make every effort to ensure prices are correct at the time of publishing. If we discover an error in the price of an order you have placed, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price before dispatching, and you are free to cancel for a full refund.

Ordering

• Order processing. Once your payment has cleared, orders are usually fulfilled within 24 to 48 hours.
• Contacting us. You can send us a message at any time, and we reply as soon as we can, usually within one business day.
• Delivery times. For the full detail see our shipping page.

Orders and purchase terms

• Placing an order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed once we confirm and dispatch your order.
• We may refuse or cancel an order, for example where stock is unavailable or where we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we issue a full refund.
• You are responsible for giving accurate delivery and contact details. Please check them at checkout, because a wrong address can delay a delivery.

Payment and security

Payment is taken at checkout by card through Stripe, or through PayPal, over an encrypted connection. We do not store your full card details. Your order is processed once payment is authorized.

Shipping, returns and cancellations

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

• Our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for the products in that order.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, data or opportunity.
• We do not promise that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the consumer protection legislation of your province or territory, or under the federal Competition Act, which prohibits false or misleading representations.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws in force in the province or territory of Canada where you live. Your rights as a consumer under that province's legislation are not affected.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
